MFT April Release - New Product Launch

Hello and welcome to the April Release New Product Launch! All of the new products we've been sharing for the past five days are available NOW at My Favorite Things!

For my card today I used the new Piggy Pebbles stamp set to create a clean & simple card with a bit of dimension with selective stamping. I shared a video yesterday on the MFT YouTube channel showing how I created this card so make sure to check that out if you want to see the process.

I stamped my piggy image onto white card stock with Extreme Black ink, and then I stamped it a second time on another piece of card stock as well so I could colour a separate umbrella and separate pig nose. I coloured the main image as well as the extra pieces, and then I cut out the umbrella and the pig nose with my scissors so I could layer them on top of the main image with foam adhesive.

I finished my card by adding a sentiment strip that was heat embossed with white embossing powder and then I also added some clear raindrops from Studio Katia to add a bit more dimension to the finished design.

Thanks so much for joining me for April release product launch! Make sure to head over to the MFT blog for a closer look at the new products and more ideas using them.

MFT April Release Countdown | Day 1

Hello and welcome to day 1 of the My Favorite Things April Release Countdown. For the next five days, we'll be sharing cards and projects featuring all of the new products coming out on April 9th at 10am EDT.

For my card today, I used the new Free with $60 Die-namics called Stitched Rac Rac to create a colourful design with some simple die-cutting.

I die cut the Ric Rac twice from 6 different colours of card stock and adhered them to a white card stock panel with liquid glue to create a focal element of colour. I then stamped a sentiment from the Sweet Spring Friends stamp set onto black card stock and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I added it the panel and then I finished the design by adding the panel to a black card base.

Thanks so much for joining me for Day 1 of the April release countdown. Make sure to head over to the MFT blog for a closer look at the new products and more ideas using them.

See you tomorrow for the release party!

MFT April Release Countdown | Day 4

Hello and welcome to day 4 of the My Favorite Things April Release Countdown. For the next five days, we'll be sharing cards and projects featuring all of the new products coming out on April 9th at 10am EDT.

For my card today, I used the new Shutter Card Components Die-namics along with the Picture Perfect stamp set to create an interactive card with the adorable selfie characters.

I created a gatefold card with shutter opening on the inside and a band closure on the front. The band wraps all the way around the card and helps to keep the card closed since there is so much going on in the inside.

The selfie stamps are the perfect size to add inside the shutter opening to reveal a cute image when the card is opened up. I have a video tutorial on the MFT YouTUbe channel today sharing how I created this card from start to finish if you want to check that out. You can find the video HERE.

Thanks so much for joining me for Day 4 of the April release countdown. Make sure to head over to the MFT blog for a closer look at the new products and more ideas using them.

See you tomorrow for more countdown fun!

MFT April Release Countdown | Day 5

Hello and welcome to day 5 of the My Favorite Things April Release Countdown. For the next five days, we'll be sharing cards and projects featuring all of the new products coming out on April 9th at 10am EDT.

For my card today, I used the new Picture Perfect stamp set along with the Polaroid Shaker Frame and #Captions Die-namics to create a colourful design featuring the iconic Polaroid colours.

I created the striped background by die cutting 5 strips of card stock with the Hearts in a Row - Horizontal Die-namics and then I adhered them all to my white card stock panel that measures 4" x 5 1/4". I dicut two of the Polaroid Shaker Frames from black and white card stock and layered them together for a shadow effect.

Using the same rainbow colours(with the addition of purple), I die cut the hashtag and hello word form the new #Captions Die-namics and adhered it onto the bottom of the polaroid. The photo inside the frame is from the new Picture Perfect stamp set - I finally tried colouring a balck & white photo and I really love how it turned out!
