My Favorite Things June Release Countdown | Day 4

Hello and welcome to day 4 of the My Favorite Things June release countdown! Over the next five days we'll be sharing peeks at all of the new products with various cards and projects using the new stamps and Die-namics! :)

For my card today I used the adorable new For Owl You Do stamp set to create a thank you card with a trio of stacked owls. :)

I diecut a panel from white cardstock and then I stamped the owls from largest to smallest from the bottom of the card up. I used masking tape on the tops of their heads so I didn't accidentally stamp the feet too far down. I then coloured in all of the owls with Copic markers.

I stamped the word thank you onto 3 speech bubble diecuts from the Blueprints 7 Die-namics and adhered them beside each of the flowers. I then added the finished panel to a Grout Gray card base.

Make sure to head over to the MFT blog today (and all week) to see all of the new products and more samples using them from the design team. All of the new products will officially be available in the MFT online store on Tuesday June 6th at 9pm EST!

See you tomorrow for more countdown fun!!

My Favorite Things June Release Countdown | Day 5

Hello and welcome to day 5 of the My Favorite Things June release countdown! Over the next five days we'll be sharing peeks at all of the new products with various cards and projects using the new stamps and Die-namics! :)

For my project today I created a card with a distress oxide inked panel that I actually created at a craft retreat last weekend with friends. I made three similar panels and then I challenged 2 of my friends to take a panel home and create a card using it in some way.

You can check out Ardyth's blog and Marcie's blog to see the awesome cards they came up with!

So now onto my card... I kept the panel the same size as what I started with and used the new Big Thanks Die-namics from MFT to cut the large word from the center of the panel. I then layered the panel onto a piece of Steel Grey card stock and then I adhered the entire panel to a Grout Gray card base.

I die cut the thanks word 3 times from Steel Grey card stock and then I adhered them into the letter openings on the panel, stacking them one on top of another for dimension. Once I had them all glued on, I added the inked letters that I had die cut from the panel on top, but slightly shifted them to the right and down to give the word a shadow look.

I stamped a secondary sentiment onto a strip of Steel Grey card stock, heat embossed it with white embossing powder and adhered it over the word thanks. I finished the card with some clear sequins with silver Stickles centers.

My Favorite Things Sketchy Flowers Card Kit Release

Hello and welcome! For the past two days we've been sharing cards created with products from the newest MFT card kit called Sketchy Flowers and it is officially available now in the MFT online store!

This months kit has 2 stamp sets, 2 die sets and a colourful assortment of card stock and envelopes! I love how well all of the different elements in the kit work together. For my card tonight, I used the bright green Limelight card stock from the kit as the main panel on my card front with some simple diecutting and stamping.

I diecut the Limelight panel with the Single Stitch Line Rectangle Frames Die-namics and then diecut the word 'you' from the center panel. Once I had the word diecut, I stamped an assortment of leaves on the panel with Versamark ink and then I heat embossed them with white embossing powder.

I backed the diecut 'you' with white card stock and then I adhered the entire panel to a Tropical Teal card base. I finished the card by adding the secondary sentiment with black ink and then I added some clear sequins and silver Stickles.

Don't forget to head over to the MFT blog for more information on this months kit and for more card ideas from the design team. I can't wait to see what everyone creates! :)

My Favorite Things Sketchy Flowers Card Kit Countdown

Hello and welcome to day 1 of the My Favorite Things May card kit countdown. This months card kit is called Sketchy Flowers and it includes two stamp sets, 2 Die-namics sets, card stock and coordinating colour envelopes.

For my card today I used the large 'You' stamp from the All About You stamp set included in the kit and heat embossed it on a panel of watercolor paper.

Once I had it completely heat embossed with white embossing power, I used my Prima watercolours to add colour to the card front. I used a mix of aqua, pink, green and purple to create my colourful watercolour panel.

I let it completely dry and then I diecut it using the large stitched rectangle in the Blueprints 29 Die-namics. I added a black cardstock mat behind it and then adhered the entire panel to a Wild Wisteria card base.

I stamped the secondary sentiment onto a strip of watercolour card stock with Black Licorice Dye ink and then I adhered it over the word 'you' using foam adhesive for some added dimension.

I finished the card by adding some Aquamarine sequins scattered around the sentiment with a bit of silver Stickles added to the centers.

Make sure to head over to the MFT blog for more ideas using this months kit! Thanks so much for stopping by today. ;)

My Favorite Things May Card Kit | Sketchy Flowers

Hello! Welcome to the countdown for the May card kit from MFT Stamps called Sketchy Flowers. This months kit is a lot of fun and includes 2 stamp set (1 floral and 1 sentiment) and two dies sets that coordinate with the stamps.

For my cards today I decided to use just the sentiment stamps and dies to create a trio of rainbow cards.

I created a rainbow panel by cutting the card stock that comes in the kit into strips of various sizes and then I adhered them all onto a card stock panel so I could diecut from it.

You can see how I created these cards from start to finish in this weeks episode of MFTv on the My Favorite Things YouTube channel (linked in my blog sidebar).

Make sure to head over to the MFT blog to see some really great card examples created by the design team and a closer look at this months kit! Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you tomorrow for more countdown fun!
