MFT July Release Countdown | Day 2

Hello and welcome to day 2 of the My Favorite Things July Release Countdown. For the next five days, we'll be sharing cards and projects featuring all of the new products coming out on July 9th at 10am EDT.

For my card today, I used the new Magical Rainbow Die-namics along with the new Rainbow Greetings stamp set to create a simple, but colourful design.

I die cut all of the rainbow pieces from white card stock, and then I used my Copic markers to colour them in. I then assembled the rainbow on the back piece and covered the entire thing in a sparkle pen and Glossy Accents to add a lot of sparkle and shine.

I finished the design with a stamped sentiment and some enamel hearts and then I layered the panel onto a card base that I covered with rainbow striped pattterned paper.

Thanks so much for joining me for Day 2 of the July release countdown. Make sure to head over to the MFT blog for a closer look at the new products and more ideas using them.

See you tomorrow for more countdown fun!

MFT July Release Countdown | Day 3

Hello and welcome to day 3 of the My Favorite Things July Release Countdown. For the next five days, we'll be sharing cards and projects featuring all of the new products coming out on July 9th at 10am EDT.

For my card today I created a colourful rainbow cake using the new Celebrate with Cake Die-namics. This die has so many fun layering elements that can be added to the cake, but I decided to just use one and create a repeated pattern.

I die cut all of the pieces from the new Over the Rainbow paper pad and layered them in rainbow order on the cake. I then die cut the Celebrate topper from Silver Sparkle card stock and added that to the top.

I decided it needed a stamped sentiment, so I used one from the Bitty Birthday Wishes stamp set and stamped it directly under the cake. To add a little interest to the cake, I also added clear drops along three rows of the decorative trim. I love the subtle dimension it adds!

Thanks so much for joining me for Day 3 of the July release countdown. Make sure to head over to the MFT blog for a closer look at the new products and more ideas using them.

MFT July Release Countdown | Day 4

Hello and welcome to day 4 of the My Favorite Things July Release Countdown. For the next five days, we'll be sharing cards and projects featuring all of the new products coming out on July 9th at 10am EDT.

For my card today, I used the new Impact Alphabet Die-namics to create a large colourful focal word on my card that I paired with a stamped sentiment from the new Bitty Birthday Wishes stamp set.

Stay tuned for the amazing pattened paper I used to cover each of the letter stacks - it is my new favourite paper pad ever! I layered 4 white die cut letters under the coloured paper and then I added a black die cut letter slightly offset behind each one to give them a shadow effect.

I then added the stamped sentiment banner and adhered the card panel to a Grout Gray card base. I finished the card with a few clear sequins for added detail and dimension.

Thanks so much for joining me for Day 4 of the July release countdown. Make sure to head over to the MFT blog for a closer look at the new products and more ideas using them.

MFT July Release Countdown | Day 5

Hello and welcome to day 5 of the My Favorite Things July Release Countdown. For the next five days, we'll be sharing cards and projects featuring all of the new products coming out on July 9th at 10am EDT.

For my card today I used the new Twist & Turn Die-namics along with some older product to create a fun birthday card with a moving wine bottle.

The Twist & Turn Die-namics allows you to easily move one or two images on a card design with a simple mechanism that's hidden behind the main card panel.  You can check out our TouTube channel today for a video that Laura created showing the die in more detail. It looks complicated but it's actually really easy to use!

In the second photo, you can see the wine bottle actually tips to make it look like it's pouring into one of the glasses. For the glasses, I coloured them all with Copic markers and used glossy accents over top to make them look shiny.

Thanks so much for joining me for Day 5 of the July release countdown. Make sure to head over to the MFT blog for a closer look at the new products and more ideas using them.

MFT May Release | New Product Launch

Hello and welcome to the May Release New Product Launch! All of the new products we've been sharing for the past five days are available NOW at My Favorite Things!

For my card today I used the new Watermelon Slice Die-namics along with the Sweet Sentiments stamp set to create a summer-themed birthday card.
I created the watermelon with Limelight and Smooth White card stock and used a panel that I covered with Picked Raspberry Distress Ink to create the main part. Using the Distress ink allowed me to add water to it to create a more textured, realistic look.

I stamped the sentiment on black card stock and heat embossed it with white embossing powder, and I added it to the card at an angle to line up with the watermelon edge.

Thanks so much for joining me for May release launch! Make sure to head over to the MFT blog for a closer look at the new products and more ideas using them.

MFT May Release Countdown - Day 1

Hello and welcome to day 1 of the My Favorite Things May Release Countdown. For the next five days, we'll be sharing cards and projects featuring all of the new products coming out on May 7th at 10am EDT.

For my card today, I used the new Builder Bears stamp set along with the Brick Background and Distressed Patterns stamp set to create a colourful design!

I heat embossd the white background and then I stamped the entire thing with random paint splatters using the Distressed Patterns stamp set.

I fussy cut the bears so I could make it look like they were actually painting the wall. I have a video on the MFT YouTube channel today sharing how I created this card.
