My Favorite Things Sketch #370

Hello and welcome back! Today I have a card to share for the newest sketch challenge at the My Favorite Things challenge blog. This week's sketch has a heart as the focal element, but I decided to switch my design up and use a butterfly instead.

I stamped the butterfly with three different shades of ink (Peach Bellini, Coral Crush, and Poppy) to create an ombre look on it's wings and then I cut the center out with the smallest Stitched Heart STAX die.

I cut the whole panel with a stitched rectangle and I adhered it to a Peach Bellini card base. I then added the die cut heart back into the opening and added a body that I die cut from Steel Grey card stock using the Flutter of Butterflies Solid dies.

I completed the card by adding some Crystal Glaze to the body of the butterfly and I also added some clear sequins scattered onto the card front.

You can check out this week's sketch and play along at the Challenge Blog here
Thanks so much for stopping by!

So many beautiful cards Stephanie, and so many fabulous new products for you to play with and inspire us. Loved all the cards, although I'm afraid I'm not into the food and coffee craze, but love all the rest and the others were very pretty too. Many thanks as always. Bev.
