My Favorite Things August Card Kit Release

Hello and welcome back! Tonight I have another card to share using both the new X's and O's card kit and the Witch Way is the Candy stamp set and coordinating Die-namics. Both of these are now available in the MFT online store! :-)

I thought it would be fun to combine both of the new releases onto one card and create a Halloween themed tic tac toe board.


I first stamped out my witch image with Black Licorice Hybrid ink and then I coloured her in with copic markers. I changed up her colours quite a bit from the one I shared on yesterdays card and decided to make her hair green and her outfit black and orange.


Once I had her coloured and cut out I set her aside and worked on the tic tac toe board for the card. I wanted to have orange x's and o's but I wanted them to be dimensional since I was using the acrylic board and the square shaker pouch. I decided to cut them all out from orange card stock and then I layered them one on top of another 3 times for dimension. I used a liquid glue pen to glue them together.


I combined a sentiment from both of the stamp sets and stamped it under the tic tac toe board in black ink. I adhered the witch, added some clear sequins and adhered the completed panel to a Grout Gray card base.

Witch Way is the Candy?

Hello and welcome back! This month, along with the card kit release, we also have a fun surprise release of the very popular Birdie Brown stamp set and Die-namics, Witch Way to the Candy? that was retired a couple of years ago.

Truth be told, I'm actually not a huge fan of Halloween. But I have always loved the cute images in this stamp set and I couldn't wait to colour them again! :-)


I stamped all of my images onto white card stock with Black Licorice Hybrid Ink and then I coloured them in with Copic markers. I decided to use purples on the witch even though I generally have a tough time with purples, and I think I have finally found a colour combination that I love! I used BV29 along with V22, V25 and V28.


I wanted to make the witch fun and playful so I coloured her dress aqua and added white polka dots. Once I had all of the images coloured, I die cut them with the coordinating dies and added them to my card to create a fun Halloween scene.

My Favorite Things August Card Kit Countdown

Hello and welcome back! Today we're kicking off the countdown to the My Favorite Things August card kit reveal and I can't wait to share this one with you! I know I say it every month but this one is definitely a new favourite.

This month's kit is called X's and O's and it is packed full of awesome stuff to make fun tic tac toe themed cards. For my cards today I created both a simple card and a dimensional card with one of the acrylic tic tac toe boards.


I love all of the fun ways you can mix and match all of the stamps, dies and acrylic pieces to create a ton of card designs.  And you don't have to stop there - this card kit is great for creating kids games and fun Valentine's treats!

My Favorite Things August Release!

Hello and welcome back! The new My Favorite Things August release is now available at mftstamps.com and I can't wait to see what's on everyone must have list. I love this release because there is a little bit of something for everyone! 

For my card today, I created a starry background with the Star Celebration stencil and Broken China and Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide inks.


Once I created the background, I used the new Written in the Stars stamp set and the new Shining Stars Die-namics to create the bold sentiment on the card. I love the silver sparkle on the large diecut word. :-)

My Favorite Things August Release Countdown | Day 2

Hello and welcome back to the My Favorite Things August release countdown! We're sharing the new products all week that will be available on Tuesday, August 8th at 9pm EST and today is day 2 of the countdown.
 
For my card today I used the new More Monsters stamp set to create a fun card with polaroid photos.


I stamped all of my monsters on white cardstock with various colours of dye ink and then I cut them out with the polaroid frames.


I added them to a Stone Gray card base and added my sentiment to the bottom of one of the frames.

My Favorite Things August Release Countdown | Day 3

Hello and welcome back to the My Favorite Things August release countdown! We're sharing the new products all week that will be available on Tuesday August 8th at 9pm EST and today is day 3 of the coutndown.

For my card today I used the new Wild About You stamp set to create a clean and simple card featuring a rainbow zebra. :-)


I stamped the zebra with Black Licorice Dye ink and then I used Copic markers to colour in all of his stripes in rainbow colour. I love how fun the line detail is on these adorable safari animals. It makes them a lot of fun to colour!


Once I had him all coloured, I diecut him with the coordinating die and then and adhered him to a white cardstock panel with foam adhesive. I then stamped the sentiment under him and added some die cut hearts for some added detail.

I added Glossy Accents to each of the hearts to give them a raised shiny look and I added some glitter to the zebras stripes with a clear glitter pen.

My Favorite Things August Release Countdown | Day 5

Hello and welcome to Day 5 of the August release countdown from My Favorite Things! I am so excited to share all of the new products this week. I get so excited to hear what you guys love and what's on your must have list! :-)

My favourite from this release without a doubt is the Flamazing stamp set and Die-namics. I love flamingos and the designs in this stamp set are awesome!


I created two cards using this set and used similar colours and design elements. I did change up the overall layout of each card. In addition to the Flamazing stamp set, I also used the new Fab Foliage Die-namics (coming soon!) to create borders on my cards.



Both of my cards today are part of the August release free online class that will be available on release night as both a PDF donload and a video. You'll be able to see how I created both of my cards from start to finish so stay tuned! :-)
