My Favorite Things April Release Countdown | Day 5

Hello and welcome to day 5 of the My Favorite Things April 2017 release countdown. For the next five days we're counting down to the release of the newest products from MFT! I'm so excited to share all of the new products with you! ;)

For my card today I used the new Springtime Blooms stamp set and created a bright and cheery spring themed card with a lot of stamping. ;)


I stamped pretty much all of the floral images onto a watercolour card stock panel with black ink and coloured them all in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers.

This card is part of the free April release classes that will be available on release night this coming Tuesday. Make sure to check out the MFT blog for a downloadable PDF and a video to share how I created it! ;)


I love the bold sentiment banner in black & white against all of the bright colours on the stamped floral panel.

My Favorite Things March Card Kit | Doodled Blooms

Hello and welcome to the release of the My Favorite Things March card kit - Doodled Blooms. The new card kit has an awesome floral stamp set (with a coordinating die set), a sentiment stamp set, cardstock and envelopes.

For my card tonight I decided to add some additional elements and channel my inner Super Mario lol! Every time I look at these flowers I think of Super Mario for some reason so I decided to create my card to look a little like a scene from the game. ;)


I created the background using the Graphic Grid paper pad and I cut out the hills for the bottom using the Snow-Capped Mountains Die-namics. I used the Puffy Clouds to cut out the clouds and then I diecut a flower pot from the Perfect Planters stamp set and coloured it the same green as the game.

I stamped and coloured my flower pieces and then I cut them out with the coordinating Die-namics. I diecut a circle from the Circle STAX Die-namics and I stamped it with a face from the Lucky stamp set. Googly eyes were a definite must for this bright and playful card.


I finished the card by adding the flower top to an action wobble so it would bounce on the card and then I added the stamped sentiment over the hills.

March Card Kit Countdown | Day 1

Hello and welcome to day 1 of the My Favorite Things March card kit countdown. The new Doodled Blooms card kit has an awesome floral stamp set (with a coordinating die set), a sentiment stamp set and a fun new addition to the card kits... envelopes!

For today's card, I wanted to go bright and bold with the flowers the focus of the card.


To create all of the colourful flowers, I added Distress Inks to panels of white cardstock and then I stamped the flowers over top of the inked area. I then cut them out with the coordinating dies and mix and matched them on the card design to create a really colourful floral arrangement.


I stamped the sentiment onto a strip of black cardstock with Versamark ink and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I adhered it above the flowers and then mounted the panel onto a black cardstock mat before adding it to the card base.

My Favorite Things March Card Kit Countdown | Day 2

Hello and welcome to day 2 of the My Favorite Things March card kit countdown. The new Doodled Blooms card kit has an awesome floral stamp set (with a coordinating die set), a sentiment stamp set and a fun new addition to the card kits... envelopes!

For my project today I decided to get creative with the card kit and create a gift bag with one of the envelopes from the kit.

My Favorite Things Release Replay | March 2017

Hello and welcome to the Release Replay for the My Favorite Things March 2017 release. Today the design team is sharing some more ideas using the March release products that were released last week.

For my card I decided to combine a few of the products and the two new paper pads (so in love with both of them!) to create a cute little scene.


I first watercoloured my background panel with blue watercolours and then once it was dry I started building my scene on top. I diecut three of the birdhouses from the new Black and White Basics paper pad and added a black roof to each of them I then adhered their posts and set them aside while I worked on the rest of the scene.

I diecut a grassy border from the new Graphic Grid paper pad and then layered the sentiment banner on top that was diecut from the new Blueprints 31 Die-namics and stamped with a sentiment from the Essential Sentiments stamp set.


I adhered the birdhouses to the card panel first and added the middle one with foam adhesive for some added dimension. I then added the grass and then sentiment banner and finished the card with some small clouds from the Home Sweet Home and some clear sequins.
