Stitched with Love: Easter

Hello and welcome back! Today I have some new stitched projects to share using the My Favorite Things Cross-Stitch Tag Die-namics along with our newest Easter patterns.

You can find the new Easter patterns here.

I created both a tag and a card using the new patterns - I love die cutting the tag multiple times to create a larger area to stitch like I did on the peeps card. I just cut it twice from the same card stock piece (I lined it up so the hole would be continuous) and then I just extended the peeps pattern to 5 instead of 3 to create a little rainbow of peeps.

I created the sentiment by adding the stamped part first and then die cutting the letters for the word peep from card stock that matched the stitching.

I stitched the bunny onto the tag with grey's, aqua's and pink's and added some grey chevron paper to the top to match the bunny image. I then added the hole reinforcement cut from Summer Splash card stock to match the stitching around the bunny image.

Thanks so much for stopping by today - we hope you enjoy the new patterns. Happy stitching!

My Favorite Things March New Product Launch

Hello and welcome to the New Product Launch for the My Favorite Things March Release! All of the new products we've been sharing all week are officially available now at mftstamps.com, and I can't wait to see what's on everyone's must-have lists!

For my card tonight I used the new Best in the West stamp set to create a cute little scene with the cowbear and cowfox. ;)  The coordinating die set for these stamps has a stand-alone lasso die so I thought it would be cute to have a heart in it to go with the sentiment.

I coloured the images with Copic markers and added some glossy accents to the boots and the hats to add some dimension and shine. I created a one layer background by die-cutting and piecing the parts together after I had added colour to each of them. I also added clouds and sunshine rays with my stencils before adhering everything together.

Thanks so much for joining me for the March release new product launch and all of the countdown days this week! Make sure to head over to the MFT blog for a closer look at the new products and more ideas using them!

My Favorite Things March Release Countdown | Day 1

Hello and welcome to day 1 of the My Favorite Things March Release Countdown. For the next five days, we'll be sharing cards and projects featuring all of the new products coming out on March 6th at 9pm EST.

For my card today I used the Hooray word die and paired it with a stamped sentiment from the Yay for You stamp set, and layered them both onto a white sentiment banner. I added the colour to the Hooray die cut with Distress inks and created an ombre effect with the ink.

I also added Distress inks to a separate panel going from blue to purple to pink and then I die cut it with the Polka Dot Cover-up Die-naics. I layered it onto a white card base so the white would show through the holes and then I added the sentiment banner on top.

I also added some clear sequins in some of the holes for added detail and dimension and I filled the center of the sequins with Stardust Stickles.

Thanks so much for joining me for Day 1 of the March release countdown. Make sure to head over to the MFT blog for a closer look at the new products and more ideas using them.

See you tonight for the new Product Launch!!

My Favorite Things March Release Countdown | Day 2

Hello and welcome to day 2 of the My Favorite Things March Release Countdown. For the next five days, we'll be sharing cards and projects featuring all of the new products coming out on March 6th at 9pm EST.

For my card today I used the new Triangle STAX dies to create a fun geometric pattern on my card. I first added green, aqua and pink distress inks to white card stock and then I cut a bunch of rectangle from it.

I added them to my white card stock panel in a random design, and then I added a sentiment with the Anything-but-Friendship stamp set and the Friend Duo Die-namics.

Thanks so much for joining me for Day 2 of the March release countdown. Make sure to head over to the MFT blog for a closer look at the new products and more ideas using them.

My Favorite Things March Release Countdown | Day 3

Hello and welcome to day 3 of the My Favorite Things March Release Countdown. For the next five days, we'll be sharing cards and projects featuring all of the new products coming out on March 6th at 9pm EST.

For my card today I used the new Hoppy Friends stamp set along with the Balloon Shaker Window & Frame Die-namics to create a fun easter egg shaker card. If you flip the balloon upside down it is a perfectly shaped easter egg!

I created a cute little scene by adding grass to the bottom with the Grassy Fields dies and I added cloud detail to the sky with the Mini Cloud Edges stencil. I added pink dotted patterned paper behind the shaker egg and I filled it with an assortment of coloured sequins.

Stay tuned to Monday's MFTv episode - I'm sharing the creation of a second card with this design with a couple minor changes. ;)

My Favorite Things March Release Countdown | Day 4

Hello and welcome to day 4 of the My Favorite Things March Release Countdown. For the next five days, we'll be sharing cards and projects featuring all of the new products coming out on March 6th at 9pm EST.

For my card today I used the new Birdie Brown set called Bubble over with Joy! I loved these adorable images and paired them with the new Elegant Rectangle STAX dies (coming soon!) to create a bright and colorful framed scene. I was all about bright colours in this release and loved experimenting with different shades of Distress Inks.

I created the background of the scene with Picked Raspberry for the sky and added some detail to it with the new Sunrise Radiating Rays stencil, and then I created the grass area at the bottom with Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn ink.

I added a decorative edge with the Stitched Scallop Basic Edges 2 and added water to the completed panel to create a distressed look to kind of go with the bubble theme.

I added the images directly to the panel and die cut a frame for the outside edge with the Elegant Rectangle STAX dies. I also added some cloud detail to the frame to make it look the sky around the images.

I also wanted to share these baby cards that I created with the new Owl My Love stamps and dies. These two cards were created for this month's release class, so stay tuned next week for a downloadable PDF and an instructional video sharing how I created them.

They were a lot of fun to create, and I love the unexpected interactive element of the little baby owl in the mama's tummy. :)

My Favorite Things March Release Countdown | Day 5

Hello and welcome to day 5 of the My Favorite Things March Release Countdown. For the next five days, we'll be sharing cards and projects featuring all of the new products coming out on March 6th at 9pm EST.

For my card today I used the new Anything-but-Friendship stamp set and the new Friend Duo Die-namics to create a bright and colourful card.

I love the big script word die, and it's so fun to pair it with the stamp set for a mix of both stamping and die-cutting. I also used the new Beautiful Day Stamp set (stay tuned for that one) and created some colourful flowers and a butterfly. I layered everything together and added a small flower for the 'i' in friend.

I created the background with Distress inks (Peacock Feathers and Twisted Citron) and added some water drops for a distressed look.

Thanks so much for joining me for Day 5 of the March release countdown. Make sure to head over to the MFT blog for a closer look at the new products and more ideas using them.
