Feeling Sentimental - MFT Birthday Project Challenge!

Hello, and welcome to this month's Birthday Project Challenge! This month we're challenging you to create birthday themed cards with just text, no images. I love this challenge so much because these are one of my favourite card designs to create!

I used the Bitty Birthday Wishes stamp set and stamped the same sentiment onto 6 different colours of card stock with Versmark ink, and then I heat embossed them with white embossing powder.

I die cut all of the sentiments with the smallest Skinny Strip die and adhered them all onto a white card stock panel with foam adhesive.

I added additional foam adhesive to the main panel and then added that to a white, top-folding card base that measures 4 1/4" x 5 1/2".

Thanks so much for stopping by today! See you on Sunday when we start counting down to the newest card kit!

MFT WSC 459

Hello! I'm back today with the newest sketch challenge from My Favorite Things. I love the simplicity of this wee's sketch and couldn't wait to pair it with the awesome re-released You Shine stamp set. I love this girl and her colourful Christmas lights! :)

I stamped my image onto Neenah Solar White card stock and coloured her in with Copic markers. I layered her on a piece of Sno Cone card stock that I covered with vellum and then I added it over a panel of striped patterned paper from the Candy Land paper pad.

I finished the card with a stamped sentiment from the Bitty Holiday Wishes stamp set and die cut it with the smaller of the Skinny Strips Die-namics.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

MFT October Vault Release | Day 2

Hello and welcome back! Did you see the fun products that MFT releases yesterday for the October Vault? I love all things Christmas so I was happy to see some favourites return! :)

Today I have a card featuring the re-released Pure Innocence stamp set called Angel. I love this cute image and had so much fun colouring her and adding her to a bank of glittery clouds on my design.

I stamped her with Extreme Black ink and coloured her in with Copic markers. I kept the colouring really simple and added in a bit of purples and greys. I also added Stardust Stickles to her wings to make them sparkle and shine!

I layered die cut clouds on the bottom that I cut from white and silver sparkle card stock and added a stamped sentiment and some clear sequins to complete the design.

MFT October Vault Release - Day 1

Hello, and welcome back! It's time for the next Vault release from My Favorite Things, and this month we have some great holiday designs returning! I was so excited to see the Comfy Sweater Die-namics and decided to feature the larger of the two on today's card.

All of the new Vault products are available now at My Favorite Things! :)

I die cut the Captions Alphabet letters to spell Merry, and I coloured them in with Copic markers to make them colourful. I also stamped the sweater with Grout Gray ink and the Knitted Sweater background to create a subtle texture on the sweater.

Everything was stamped with black ink, and I added some blue distress ink to the background before adhering the sweater to the card with foam adhesive.

Make sure to head over to the MFT blog to see all of the new products releasing today!

October 2019 | MFT & Friends

Hello and welcome to the October Release New Product Launch! All of the new products we've been sharing for the past five days are available NOW at My Favorite Things!

For my card today I used the Festive Friends stamp set to create a clean and simple winter scene on my card. I created the inked background with distress ink and a die cut circle to mask just the circle shape. I die cut a white snow drift with the Stitched Snow Drifts Die-namics and used the same circle shape to cut it out so it match the inked area.

I stamped out the snowman image with Extreme Black ink, coloured it in with Copic markers and adhered it on my winter scene with foam adhesive. I added some white pen detail for the sky to look like snow and then I stamped the sentiment underneath it with black ink.

Thanks so much for joining me for October release product launch! Make sure to head over to the MFT blog for a closer look at the new products and more ideas using them.

MFT October Release Countdown | 1 More Day to Go!

Hello, and welcome! We have 1 more day until the MFT October release is available and we have more great products to share! For the next five days, we'll be sharing cards and projects featuring all of the new products coming out on October 8 at 10am EDT.

For my card today, I used the new Peace, Love, and Joy Stencil to create a card that features selective stenciling.

To create the individual circles, I secured the stencil onto my panel and then I adhered a circle template that I created with the Circle STAX Die-namics over yop. I then carefully applied the ink through the open circle with a blend of red and green distress inks.

You can see how I created a trio of these cards on the MFT YouTube channel today.

Thanks so much for joining me today. Make sure to head over to the MFT Blog for a closer look at the new products and more ideas using them.

See you tomorrow for the October release!

Are You Ready? 2 More Days Until the October Release!

Hello, and welcome! We have 2 more days until the MFT October release is available, and we have more great products to share! For the next five days, we'll be sharing cards and projects featuring all of the new products coming out on October 8 at 10am EDT.

For my card today, I used the new Joyful Wreath Die-namics and the Captions Numbers (this month's Free with $60) to create a square card design perfect for celebrating New Year's!

I die cut the Joyful Wreath from white card stock, and then I coloured it in with Copic markers. I love adding marker detail to a white die cut, so it looks more dimensional and realistic. Once I had it coloured, I adhered to a white card stock panel and layered a stamped sentiment banner with it that was stamped with the Bitty Holiday Wishes stamp set. I die cut 2020 from gold glitter card stock and adhered it directly under the banner to complete the design.

Thanks so much for joining me today. Make sure to head over to the MFT Blog for a closer look at the new products and more ideas using them.

See you tomorrow for more countdown fun!
