MFT November Release | New Product Launch

Hello and welcome to the November Release New Product Launch! All of the new products we've been sharing for the past five days are available NOW at My Favorite Things!
For my card today I used this month's Free with $60 die to create a colourful Christmas design.

I die cut three, of the trees side by side from a white card stock panel and then I layered the panel onto a piece of card stock that I added Distress inks too. I then added a snow hill to the bottom of the design and stamped a sentiment from the Frosty Friends stamp set onto a black card stock strip.

To complete the design, I added a silver sparkle star to the top of each tree, and then I adhered the panel to a Limelight card base.

Thanks so much for joining me for November release party! Make sure to head over to the MFT blog for a closer look at the new products and more ideas using them.

MFT & Friends | October 2018

Hello and welcome back! Today I have a card to share for the monthly MFT & Friends feature. I love this post each month because it lets us play with the new products, and we get to hang out with friends of MFT and create a long with them!

For my card today I couldn't resist using the new Trio of Trees stamp set again to create another colourful stamped card. I love the geometric look to this set and had a lot of fun coming up with the design for this one.

I started at the top left corner and stamped my Christmas trees in rainbow colours all over the card front. Once I was done with the colour stamping, I added the black trunk detail to some of the trees and also left some of them plain. I love that some of them are just colour without the black detail.

I stamped the sentiment onto a black card stock strip, and then I heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I trimmed it down and gave it a slanted edge, and then I adhered it directly over my Summer Splash tree.

I added the finished panel to a Summer Splash card base and then and I completed the card with some clear droplets on the card front.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Make sure to head over to the MFT blog for more ideas from the team and some amazing MFT friends!

MFT & Friends | September Release

Hello and welcome back! Today I have a project to share that I created for the September MFT & Friends post. I love this blog feature because we always have some amazing designers join us for a fresh look at the newest release.

For my project, I decided to use the new Scallop Cross-Stitch Bookmark Die-namics to create a stitched area on my card design. I diecut only the stitching area from a piece of card stock (you can separate the middle from the outside of the bookmark by snipping the little metal tabs), and then I stitched my design on it, using only the portion that would fit across an A2 size card base.

I created a pattern for a dachshund in a winter sweater and stitched it onto the panel. After I had most if it stitched, I realized I wanted to add a Santa hat to him, but I didn't leave enough room, so I just had to go with the sweater. I think it would have been even cuter with the hat so I may still add a stamped on onto her. :)

Once I had the stitching done, I added the stitched panel to a white card base and added a piece of SUmmer Splash card stock to the top and bottom to sandwich the stitching panel. I did stamp the sentiment to the bottom panel using the new Birdie Brown Greetings Galore stamp set, before adding it on. I completed the card with a few clear sequins for a bit of dimension.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Make sure to head over to the MFT blog for more great ideas using the September release products. :)
